The Business Management Department provides direction and leadership for coordination among town departments on major initiatives. The overall goal is to ensure effective communication and cooperation between elected officials, management, and staff. Along with special projects assigned by the Town Board, the Department of Business Management pursues this mission through its oversight of five primary divisions:
In addition, Business Management personnel are also involved in providing those functions common to all town divisions and/or which are essential to the internal operations of local government. Among others, these areas of General Services include development of internal procedures, mail service, employee safety, insurance, and risk management. It also contracts for certain goods and services, provides administrative support to other departments, and oversees applications for State, Federal, and other forms of aid.
