Purchase Beach Parking Permit Online

Please DO NOT mail in applications.   Click on the link at the bottom for the permit you wish to purchase.  You can check the status of your permit by clicking on “Register” to create an account upon check out.  After checking out, you may then go to “My account”,> “My Activity”> “ePayment Center” to view the status. Once verified and approved, your seasonal permit(s) will be sent via U.S. Mail.   

In Person: If you choose not to purchase your permit online, they will be available in person at the Parks & Recreation Office located at 6 Newtown Road in Hampton Bays starting April 6th at our outside walk-up window, or at attended beach locations starting on May 29.  If you have a 2020 permit it is valid through June 30, 2021. 


Beach Parking Permit Type and Required Documents:

Residents/Homeowners |  Beach Permit  
Fee: $40 Full Season

Valid vehicle registration with a physical Southampton Town address. If your vehicle registration has only a post office box, or a physical address located outside of the town, OR if you are a Southampton Town resident who lives in the Incorporated Village of Sag Harbor, you will need to provide additional documentation as follows:

  • A current Southampton Town Tax Bill - name must match that on your car registration. No P.O. Boxes accepted.
    • Year-Round-Renters - Three utility bills (Cable or Electric Only): one current, one dating back six months, and one dating back 12 months to prove residency. Renters name on utility bills must be the same as car registration.

Senior Citizens (Residents)|  Beach Permit  
Fee: $30 Full Season

  • In addition to proof of residency (see Resident/Homeowners requirements), must provide proof of age 60+.

Veterans/Fire/EMS/Mil (Residents) |  Beach Permit
Vet. No Charge (Must be on 2020 list or Proof Required)
Fire/EMS/Mil. No Charge  (Must be on roster & ID Required)

  • Required to show copy of DD214 or Vet status for proof of eligibility plus residency requirements (see Resident/Homeowners requirements).

Non Resident Full Season |  Beach Permit  
Fee: $400 Full Season  
(*Seasonal renters only at this time) 

  • Must provide a copy of their vehicle registration along with a Southampton Town lease agreement for a minimum two-week rental accompanied with an approved valid rental permit by Southampton Town. The name on the lease agreement must match the name on the vehicle registration. Please refer to beach permit affidavit if family member is staying at your Town residence or if you have a pending rental permit.

Incorporated Village of Sag Harbor Residents who live on EAST HAMPTON side of village
Long Beach ONLY |  Beach Permit 
Fee: $40 Full Season  

  • Must provide current Sag Harbor Village Tax Bill name must match that on your car registration. No P.O. Boxes accepted. Year-round renters must provide 3- utility bills (12mo, 6mo, current-cable or electric only) and Sag Harbor Village Tax bill along with their registration.

Incorporated Village of Sag Harbor Residents who live on EAST HAMPTON side of village
Non Resident Full /Season |  Beach Permit    
Fee: $360 Full Season  

  • Must provide current Sag Harbor Village Tax Bill, name must match that on your car registration. No P.O. Boxes accepted.  Year-round renters must provide 3- utility bills (12mo, 6mo, current--cable or electric only) and Sag Harbor Village Tax bill along with their registration.

Old Ponquouge Bridge Marine Park | Beach Permit  
 Fee: $100 Full Season  

  • You will need a valid vehicle registration.

Payments:  Online transactions may be paid with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or eCheck.  All online transactions will incur a non-refundable convenience fee of 2.5% of the purchase price or $1.95, whichever is greater. All echeck are a flat rate of $1.75.* Credit Cards, checks or  cash will be accepted at walk-in locations, starting April 6th. Note: A $25 service fee will be charged for all checks returned by the bank.
