Town to Hold Annual Kids Beachcomber Clean-Up Contest

Southampton Town Councilwoman Christine Scalera, BEACH Magazine and Lands’ End are sponsoring a kids beach clean-up at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays on Saturday, August 27th from 9 am to 11 am, rain or shine. .

The Annual Kids Beachcomber Clean-Up Contest is for children of all ages. Prizes from Hamptons Trading Company, Sunrise to Sunset/Flying Point Surf Shop and Lands’ End will be given out to the top beachcomber winners. Lands’ End has also generously donated T-shirts for each participant to have and to be worn at the clean up. The Town will provide each participant with materials for the clean-up, including paper bags donated by King Kullen. Kids will get the chance to decorate and personalize their bag. Also on Friday, August 26th, Lands’ End will be hosting an event in Southampton Village where – 10% of the sales proceeds will go to the Peconic - Baykeeper.
