Suffolk County Transportation - Suffolk Transit On-Demand
We are thrilled to announce that Suffolk County has partnered with Via, one of the world’s leading mobility tech providers, to develop Suffolk Transit On-Demand, a new transit service operating within the Town of Southampton. On-demand means public transit with no schedules or designated routes, giving riders the ability to request a ride when and where they need it.
Suffolk Transit On-Demand launches Wednesday, June 16, 2021, and will operate weekdays from 6:30 AM - 8:30 PM.
Riders get their first 5 rides for free (expires August 15, 2021), the service costs $2.25 per ride.
Riders can book rides through the Suffolk Transit On-Demand app (now available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store)
or over the phone (631-818-2982) and pay by credit/debit card, or in cash at the Hampton Jitney office.

Children: Free
Seniors: $0.75
Persons with Disabilities $0.75
Medicare Card Holders: $0.75
Suffolk County Veterans: $0.75
Personal Care Attendants: Free (When traveling with disabled passengers)
