Come Join the Fun at the Cardboard Boat Race on the Peconic River

Southampton Town Supervisor Meets The Riverhead Supervisor For A Favorite Face Off On The Peconic River.

Newly elected Riverhead Town Supervisor Laura Jens Smith hopes to take back the trophy from Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman in the annual Peconic River Cardboard Boat Race this Saturday August 11, 2018 at high noon, along the Peconic River waterfront in Riverhead. 

“It’s a friendly competition between the two Towns that normally work together on many issues,” said Supervisor Jay Schneiderman.  “We have lots of laughs and it’s a great race!  I wish her luck.”
