Southampton Town Holds New Affordable Housing Lottery   

The Town of Southampton held the drawing for a new housing lottery for 15 affordable homes at Southampton Pointe located on Village Green Drive off County Road 39 in the Town of Southampton.  The drawing was  held Thursday October 25, 2018 at 3pm at Town Hall.  The new condominium townhouses, feature 2 bedrooms and one-and-a-half baths. 

Eligible households must meet median income under 2018-2019 income levels established by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.  The sale price for the homes for people earning 80% of the median income is $233,375 and for those earning 120% the price is $350,125.  Median income levels are detailed in the chart below:

    Family of four                      Family of two

    80%     $93,350.                         $74,700.

   120%   $140,050.                       $112,050.

The homes are being offered through the cooperative efforts of Fairfield Southampton LLC, the Town of Southampton and the Long Island Housing Partnership.

Applicants were required to submit a new lottery intake application to the Long Island Housing Partnership in order to be entered into the lottery.  The lottery established the ranking number to submit a formal application to LIHP for eligibility to purchase the home.  There were 280 applications.

Applicants were required to:

  • Pay a non-refundable $50 application fee
  • Meet deadline application 5:00pm October 12, 2018

Applicants will be notified of their ranking number by the Long Island Housing Partnership.

The Long Island Housing Partnership, a certified HUD counseling agency, is conducting the lottery and application process for this program.  For questions about the lottery and applications, please contact the Long Island Housing Partnership at 631-435-4710.
