The calendar may still read winter, but the Southampton Town Parks and Recreation Department is already looking forward to the summer season with a call to vendors for food concessions at some popular beaches.
The Town is calling for bidders to run the Food Concession at the newly renovated Ponquogue Beach Pavilion. The Town Clerk’s office will accept sealed bids until March 27, 2019 at 2:00pm, at which time they will be read aloud.
There will be a pre-bid meeting on March 18th at 1pm at the Ponquogue Pavilion, 276 Dune Road in Hampton Bays. Bidders are required to bring a business card to drop in the receptacle provided.
Specifications for the bid can be found online at http://bids.southamptontownny.gov/Default.aspx or in person at the Town Clerk’s Office, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton between the hours of 8:30 and 4:30 Monday through Friday.
The Town is also looking for bids for mobile food concessions at Scott Cameron Beach at 535 Jobs Lane in Bridgehampton. Bidders must comply with Federal, State and local laws. Each proposal for each location must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the respective beach you are seeking a contract for.
Bids are also being accepted to make Phase 1A improvements to Shinnecock Maritime Park, along the Shinnecock Canal in Hampton Bays. The bids will be accepted through March 27th at 2:00 pm at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A pre-bid meeting/walk-through is scheduled for March 19th at 9:00 am at the Red Creek Park Activity Center at 102 Old Riverhead Road, Hampton Bays. Please bring a business card to drop in the receptacle provided.
Bidders interested in this project are REQUIRED to visit www.labor.ny.gov for prevailing wage information and must adhere to those requirements. Each bid must include a certified check equal to 5 percent of the total bid made payable to the Town of Southampton or a bond with sufficient sureties. All checks and bonds will be returned except to the successful bidder.
