The Southampton Town Clerk will begin accepting sealed proposals on April 18, 2019 for the CCA Administrator for the Community Choice Aggregation program. Specifications will be made available on line beginning April 18th at https://southampton.procureware.com/ or in person at the Town Clerk’s office, 116 Hampton Road between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm Monday through Friday, (except holidays). These specifications have met with the approval of Central Purchasing and Contracts Compliance. Each proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “CCA Administrator for a Community Choice Aggregation.”
The Community Choice Aggregation Energy Program was approved by the Town Board in February. The New York State approved CCA program may give ratepayers, as a group, the ability to find cheaper rates through a competitive bidding process than currently available through the Long Island Power Authority to advance the Town’s efforts to achieve 100% renewable electric energy by 2025 and to make a significant impact on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Bids must be received by the Town Clerk by 4:00pm Thursday, May 16, 2019.
