Councilwoman Julie Lofstad attended the Southampton Trails Preservation Society last week and they had a guest, Sag Harbor fifth grader Sabrina M., who presented a great program she created called “Look to Save Animals.” Sabrina wants to spread awareness about endangered species and plans to leave handmade animal discs along trails, nature preserves and beaches. She asks that people search for the discs (without disturbing nature or wildlife) and then go to her website, where she has information that you can read about the animal shown on the disc and other endangered animals. What a great way to educate people while spending time outdoors! Please click on the link to visit the website www.LooktoSaveAnimals.com and find out more details. Way to go Sabrina!
