The Bridgehampton Corridor Area is undergoing a major transformation to improve pedestrian safety at several important locations in the hamlet. The project is in full swing and during the next few months, the Town of Southampton and the State of New York will continue this work along or close to Montauk Highway.
Beginning Monday, February 24th this improvement project will affect some parking lots in this area. The Town owned parking lots at Thayer’s Hardware Store, behind Candy Kitchen and opposite the Library will be improved; at times this work may limit access to these lots. This first phase of the project will begin with the Thayer’s parking lot beginning at 7:30am on Monday and should last the duration of one week. The other lots will then be scheduled for similar work.
The Town of Southampton regrets any inconvenience during this important safety improvement work.
