Hustle for the Muscle -

The Southampton Youth Bureau will be sponsoring “Hustle for the Muscle” on Wednesdays (October 26^th – December 14^th) from 4:00pm – 5:30pm at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. This free program will teach students in grades K – 2 about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, nutrition, personal hygiene, and mental self-care. Space is limited and pre-registration is required!

Comedy Classes -

The Southampton Youth Bureau will be sponsoring Comedy Classes on Thursdays (October 27^th – December 8^th) from 5:00pm – 6:30pm at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. Classes will be conducted by Dr. Bernie Furshpan, Executive Director of the NY Hysterical Society. Participants will learn how to write jokes and funny stories, build confidence and overcome stage fright, turn frustration into humor, change situational moods and outcomes, and perform using different stage techniques. This program is open to grades 5 – 8 and the registration fee is $25.

Open Mic Night -

The Southampton Youth Bureau’s Open Mic Nights at Hampton Coffee Company are back! If you are in grades 5 – 12, come join us at Hampton Coffee Company, 749 County Rd 39 on Friday, November 4^th from 6:00pm – 8:00pm to share your talent. Acoustic performers, karaoke, spoken word, poetry and comedic acts are all welcome to participate. To reserve a performance time slot, please email pstrecker@southamptontownny.gov or call (631) 702-2425.

Extreme Rec Day -

The Southampton Youth Bureau and Southampton Youth Services will be teaming up to host their annual Extreme Rec Day on Friday, November 11th from 10:00am – 3:00pm (Sign-in at 9:45am) at the SYS Recreation Center, 1370a Majors Path. Children in grades K - 6 will enjoy a day filled with inflatables, arts & crafts, board games, movies, basketball and much more! Admission is $15 per participant which includes lunch, snacks, and refreshments. Early morning drop off at 8:00am is available for $25 (breakfast not included). Space is limited and is available on a first come first, first served basis - Register Early! Pre-registrations must be submitted by Tuesday, November 1^st. Walk-in registrations will not be allowed and refunds cannot be issued for this event.

Lights Out! Glow Night at SYS -

The Southampton Youth Bureau will host a Glow Night on Friday, December 2nd from 7:30pm – 10:00pm at the SYS Recreation Center, 1370A Majors Path in Southampton. The illuminated gym will feature glow in the dark games such as basketball, Capture the Flag, soccer, volleyball and more! Event is open to grades 6 – 12 and participants are encouraged to wear white or bright neon colors to see the full effect from the UV blacklights! Admission is $10 per person and transportation is available from select locations. Pre-registration is required if transportation is needed. Space is limited!
