Do you have an interest in graphic novels? Want to know more about your favorite super heroes? If so, come out to our weekly discussion where you can share your favorite super hero, and start your own comic book collection!

Open Mic Night

Open Mic Night - Bay Burger

Friday, April 13th from 7:00pm - 9:00pm


Students in grades 5 - 12  will have the opportunity to showcase their talents by performing live at Bay Burger located at 1742 Bridgehampton – Sag Harbor Tpke from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Acoustic performers & bands, karaoke, spoken word, poetry and comedic acts are welcome to participate. Performing is absolutely free. Do you know of a teen with autism or other developmental disabilities? Would they enjoy participating in community activities and would benefit from a peer mentor to do so? Video Game Tournament

Video Game Tournament

Saturday, April 14th at the
Hampton Bays Community Center, 25 Ponquogue Ave.


Registration begins at 10:15am and the tournament will start at 11:00am SHARP. Pre-registration is $5 by Friday, April 13th or $10 at the door. Tournament is open to grades 5 – 12 and participants will be divided into middle and high school brackets. Winners in each bracket will be entered to win a brand new gaming console, courtesy of the Hampton Bays Public Library. Additional prizes will also be awarded in each bracket. All participants who wish to play M rated games must have a permission slip signed by a parent/guardian.

Bake Yourself Happy Baking Competition

Exhibit and judging will be held from 3:00pm – 5:00pm on Saturday, April 14th at the Hampton Bays Community Center, 25 Ponquogue Ave.
 

This year’s theme is “Keep Southampton Beautiful” and is based on 3 categories: cupcakes, cookies, and muffins. Prizes will be awarded in each category and entries will be judged on consistency, flavor, and presentation. Registration is required and must be submitted by Wednesday, April 11th. Bakers and their entries must be present by 2:30pm on Saturday, April 14th and a minimum of 18 items is required for submission. Registration forms can be mailed or dropped off to: Southampton Youth Bureau, 116 Hampton Rd, Southampton NY 11968.

Band applications are now available for the Southampton Youth Bureau’s 16th Annual Battle of the Bands. This year’s competition will be held on Friday, June 8th 2018 (Rain Date: Friday, June 15th) at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays from 8:00pm – 11:00pm. All applications and demo music must be received by 4:00pm on Friday, May 11th 2018 and can be sent or dropped off to: BATTLE OF THE BANDS – YOUTH BUREAU, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY 11968 or emailed to: southamptonyouthbureau@gmail.com.

*Qualifying bands must have at least one high school student who resides in the Town of Southampton, and a band must consist of a minimum of 3 performing musicians.*

Creative Arts Contest

Creative Arts Contest – Exhibit & Reception Saturday, May 12th from 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Flanders Community Center, 655 Flanders Rd


This year’s theme is “Diversity”. Contest is open to grades 5 – 12 and prizes will be awarded to “Best Art Piece” in the categories of Photography, Graphic Art, Sculpture, and Free-Hand.

All art entries must be received by Monday, April 30th.
