17th Annual Battle of the Bands 


On Friday, June 14th four local high school bands will rock out at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays and compete for great prizes courtesy of Sam Ash Music Stores, Hampton Coffee Company, Spring & Summer Activities, Bay Street Theatre, Cowfish & Rumba Restaurants, and much more! Gates will open at 7:00pm with special guest performances and the Battle of the Bands will begin promptly at 8:00pm. Throughout the night, audience members will also have a chance to win prizes by answering music trivia questions. Admission is $5 at the door and concession will be available. In the event of bad weather conditions, the 17th Annual Battle of the Bands will be rescheduled for Friday, June 21st. Summer Spy Camp 

Unleash your inner Sherlock Holmes and learn how to be a detective! The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau is currently accepting applications for their Summer Spy Camp at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. Each week we will learn how to be a detective through crafts, movies, puzzles, and weekly field trips to Escape Rooms, the beach, police department and much more! Program begins July 1st and ends August 22nd and will be held Monday – Thursday from 12:30pm – 5:00pm. Youth going into grades 5 - 8 are eligible to participate - Proof of grade is required. Camp registration fee is $575 for all 8 weeks (Price includes cost of field trips, snacks and supplies). Tuesdays on the Go Trips 


The Southampton Youth Bureau will sponsor supervised trips to amusement parks & attractions every Tuesday during the summer starting July 2nd until August 27th for grades 6 – 10. (Bus to/from Southampton McDonalds, Hampton Bays High School, Flanders Community Center and Quogue School) Times vary based on trip location. Southampton Youth Bureau’s Broader Horizons
Summer Internship Program

Broader Horizons is a paid internship program for Southampton Town residents between the ages of 14 and 17. The program is suited to teens that have little or no job experience. Participants are assigned to work 20 hours a week in different jobs that are available in the local community or in various Town departments. Interns also participate in fifteen hours of job skills, career exploration, and money management training offered in Town Hall. Participants are supervised throughout their work experience by Youth Bureau staff and assistance is offered where needed.
