1. What are the hours of operation for the Southampton Animal Shelter?

The Animal Shelter is open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, it is closed on the following holidays:

• New Year’s Day
• Easter
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• Closed 1/2 day Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve

2. What types of animals does the shelter offer for adoption?

The shelter has many dogs and cats that are available for adoption. We occasionally get other animals like rabbits, hamsters, birds and reptiles. All of the shelter’s available animals can be viewed on the shelter website.

3. Can I board my dog or cat at the shelter?

The shelter does not provide boarding services. Check your local listing for veterinarians or boarding kennels.

4. Are volunteers permitted at the shelter?

The Southampton Animal Shelter welcomes volunteers. Please call 631-728-7387 for info.

5. Does the shelter have a veterinary clinic?

The shelter does have a veterinary clinic on site. We offer low-cost spaying / neutering, vaccinations and microchips. You can contact the clinic at 631-728-7387, ext. 226 for more information.
