Biography
Jimmy Mack is a lifelong resident of Southampton Town, from his days growing up on Seafield Lane in Westhampton Beach to his current residence in the North Sea neighborhood of Southampton. He graduated from Westhampton Beach High School in 1975 and from Boston University in 1980. His personal and professional life are a testament to his abiding sense of service to his community. He is currently the Treasurer of Southampton Volunteer Ambulance (SVA). He has been a volunteer EMT with SVA since 2005 and part of their executive leadership for 12 years. Other organizations he has dedicated his time and energy to include STAR Aqua Center, Southampton Village Ocean Rescue, and the Moriches Bay Project. In 2024 he was awarded Suffolk County Healthcare Hero of the Year as well as SVA’s EMT of the Year. Jimmy was raised in a family of boaters and outdoor enthusiasts. This instilled in him awe for our abundant and beautiful waterways and respect for how we interact with them. He is especially passionate about LGBTQ+ and addiction issues; he is a proud member of both those communities. Jimmy is committed to leading the Trustees through listening, learning, collaboration, and cooperation. He is deeply grateful for the guidance he’s received from past trustees and is especially proud and honored to serve alongside his current fellow trustees. He lives in North Sea with his husband, Brian, and their rescue dog, Sammy.
