Biography
William H. Parash was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonality of the Town of Southampton on November 2, 2021 and sworn into office on January 1, 2022. He is the newest member of the Board of Trustees. Bill was born and raised in Southampton and has deep roots in the local community. He is the third generation of his family to reside in Southampton. His grandfather was the original owner of the Candy Kitchen in Bridgehampton. His late father James Parash and late uncle Paul Parash owned and operated Sip’N Soda since 1958. Bill’s uncle also was a Town Trustee from 1986 to 1993.
Bill graduated from Southampton High School in 1982 and then attended the University of Richmond in 1986. He then attended and graduated from the Suffolk County Police Academy in 1987. He worked for the Village of Southampton Police Department and then went on to St. Johns University Law School where he graduated in 1991.
Bill is an avid outdoorsman. His interests include golf, boating, and fishing. Bill resides in Southampton with his wife and twin sons.
