Biography
Matthew Parsons of East Quogue was sworn in to the Board of Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonality of the Town of Southampton on January 3, 2024. Matt graduated from New York University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He has worked for the Cornell Cooperative Marine Program, National Marine Fisheries Service’s Fisheries Observer Program as a Fisheries Observer, and later as Assistant Program Manager/Recertification and Training Manager, and worked as a Dredge Material Inspector for the Army Corps of Engineers. Matt has commercially harvested Peconic Bay scallops since 2009 and Coaches all three of his children in the East End Little League.
