A message from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority - LIRR:
“Last month, the necessary grade crossing renewal at Snake Hollow Road Crossing in Bridgehampton was successfully completed as part of our ongoing efforts to improve safety and service quality. As a final step in the project, paving will take place overnight next Friday, May 16th, with crews on site starting at 7PM. The work is expected to last approximately 10 hours.
During this time, Snake Hollow Road will be closed, with local access only. There will be no access across the crossing; MTA will be onsite to support this closure. We recommend using Buffer Lane as an alternative route.”
